TIRPITZ - Museum
The TIRPITZ museum is hidden beneath the beautiful white sand dunes of Jutland’s west coast. To carry the immense weight of the dunes, compact FOAMGLAS® insulation was used. It is practically incompressible, dimensionally stable and permanently resistant to pressure, keeping the TIRPITZ safe from harm.

Hidden beneath the characteristic sand dunes of Jutland’s west coast lies the newly opened TIRPITZ museum. The new museum was conceived, designed, and built as a portal to the treasure chest of the region’s best kept stories. It covers an area of 2,500 m2.
The museum is a world-class attraction amidst the fantastic coastal landscape of western Jutland, characterised by the white sand dunes with lyme grass and shrubland covered in heather.
