Patio with pedestrian traffic

This extension to the Royal Danish Library is one of the most striking buildings in Copenhagen harbour. With its unusual geometry, inclination and irregularly cut black shining marble façade, the building has been dubbed “The Black Diamond”.

The Terrace is insulated with FOAMGLAS Cellular Glass Insulation. The Cellular Glass, does not move or compress under load and so the preferred choice for any paved roof which is subjected to compressive loads.
