Piazzetta is an open courtyard between the old and new building of the National Theatre in Prague. It is a large flat roof/ terrace/ public space on top of an underground deposit and parking spaces.
The application allows heavy duty pedestrian access as well as the access of light vehicles. Its address is “Vaclav Havel Square”, which is frequently used for public gatherings and performances.

Compact Flat Roof with paving slabs on support pads on reinforced concrete deck
The stone tiles on top of the support pads used on Piazzetta are massive. They have a 1x1 m format and are frequently facing heavy loads. The original build-up had numerous defects, which had to be avoided when refurbishing. With FOAMGLAS® Compact Roof a safe and robust solution was chosen in the end.
