Skypark Business Center
A sustainable architectural wonder

The Skypark Business Center at Luxembourg Airport is a standout example of sustainable timber construction. Designed by the Danish firm Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) in partnership with Metaform Architects, the building features two long, slender sections arranged at a 180-degree angle.
With a total area of 70,000 m² and a wooden support structure of 15,000 m³, it ranks among the largest wooden buildings in Europe. The center includes a variety of flexible workspaces, retail options, restaurants, childcare facilities, fitness centers, a boutique hotel, and around 1,500 parking spaces.
Given the size of the building and its various functions, there are significant requirements for insulation, particularly regarding compressive strength, waterproofing, and fire safety. That's why FOAMGLAS® cellular glass insulation was selected. Furthermore, it enhances the building's sustainability due to its longevity.
