The Icefjord Centre showcases FOAMGLAS® cellular glass' versatility in construction. It features a combination of steel, wood, and glass, with steel frames providing the structural support and extensive use of wood for floors, roof, terraces, and interiors, giving it a warm and natural appearance. Despite its Arctic location, the building is well-insulated and heated using CO2-neutral green energy from the nearby Ilulissat water power plant, ensuring maximum energy efficiency.

FOAMGLAS® insulation material is an excellent choice for projects requiring superior insulation and durability in harsh weather conditions. Its waterproof and vapor-proof properties make it ideal for wet climates, preventing moisture-related damage and mold growth. Additionally, FOAMGLAS® insulation is non-combustible, providing enhanced fire safety and can withstand high temperatures without releasing toxic fumes. Its compressive strength allows it to bear heavy loads without compromising insulation performance.
