Sealing joints between FOAMGLAS® insulation at junctions
PITTSEAL® 444N is a 1-component, non-hardening butyl based sealer which does not dry but forms a soft skin after 1 to 3 hours.
PITTSEAL® 444N adheres to FOAMGLAS® cellular glass and many other surfaces such as steel, concrete, wood etc. In building applications, PITTSEAL® 444N is used for sealing joints between FOAMGLAS® slabs, blocks or boards at junction level: wall - ceiling, wall - floor and wall - wall junctions.
In industrial applications, PITTSEAL® 444N is used to seal joints between FOAMGLAS® slabs or pipe coverings, to seal protrusions and metal jacket laps !! ELIMINATE : to seal junctions between wall-ceiling, well-floor and wall-wall junctions. It is also used as a sliding layer in expansion/contraction joints and as bedding compound behind FOAMGLAS® insulation on piping and machinery.
