FOAMGLAS® insulation helps save energy and reduce emissions
With fossil fuel prices reaching record highs, companies around the world are focusing on energy efficiency to save money and reduce the emissions driving the climate crisis.
Installing an insulation system underneath your heated storage tank is a cost-effective solution to immediately increase energy efficiency and consequently reduce carbon emissions. For this reason, we made it one of our main objectives in 2022 to help our clients improve the energy efficiency of their tanks and lower their overall carbon footprint.
So with 2022 almost wrapped up, we took the time to take a closer look at how our insulation has helped our clients, that store heated liquids, reach their energy and sustainability goals in 2022.
These were the final numbers:
- 50 000 m² (538 196 ft²) of FOAMGLAS® insulation was delivered and installed underneath hot storage tanks. This is equal to the amount necessary to cover 7 football fields.
- 30 222 MWh (103 057 MMBTU) of energy was saved. This is equal to the amount of energy necessary to drive a Tesla Model 3 for 203 million kilometers (126 million miles).
- 17 861 metric tons of CO2 were saved. This is equal to the amount of CO2 that is being sequestered by 714 trees over the course of one year.
