Case: State Parliament building, Germany

After five decades in use, the State Parliament building in Stuttgart required modernization. An additional layer of FOAMGLAS® cellular glass insulation was used on top of the existing FOAMGLAS® insulation layer. The flat roof now has superior heat insulation that helps reduce energy loss.

The Sydhavnen school’s shape and outdoor spaces invite students to be physically active, motivating them to learn. FOAMGLAS® insulation was used to insulate both the flat roof with a wooden terrace on top and the concrete roof covered with a green roof. Both roofs invite students to be active and play in between classes.
