The structure of cellular glass makes it impermeable and durable.
In the EPD, the declared service life of FOAMGLAS® insulation is
100 years*. This longevity reduces the need for replacements,
which in turn removes the need for new raw materials and the
carbon emissions associated with producing replacement products.
Once installed, FOAMGLAS® insulation continues to support energy
efficiency throughout the building's lifetime.

We continuously reduce our footprint
We aspire to halve our CO2 emissions by 2030 and eventually eliminate our use of fossil fuels. We were pioneers in melting glass with green electricity already in 2007 and continue to use 100% renewable electricity at our factories.
We strive for circular economy
Glass can be recycled over and over again. The average recycled content for FOAMGLAS® products is 50%*. We are developing take-back solutions and aim for zero waste leaving our plants by 2030.

Electric melting
We use electric melters for melting the glass at both of our factories in Europe. This reduces CO2 emissions significantly.
