A 1.78 mm (70 mil) thick self-sealing modified bitumen membrane for protecting underground FOAMGLAS® insulation systems with outer temperatures below 77°C (170°F).

PITTWRAP® SS Jacketing is a 1.78 mm (70 mil) thick self-sealing modified bitumen membrane for protecting underground FOAMGLAS® insulation systems with outer temperatures below 77°C (170°F). Manual pressure seals the jacket without the use of a torch or heater. It may also be factory applied on the insulation by a fabricator. PITTWRAP® SS jacketing consists of a polymer modified bitumen compound reinforced with a glass fabric, a 0.03 mm (1 mil) aluminum top film, and a release paper backing.

Service Temperature Limits
-32 to 77°C
-25 to 170°F

Recommended for underground / direct buried pipelines including shallow buried water service pipelines, above ambient service pipelines, commercial chilled water and cold service applications. Preferred for situations where wet soil is the norm. Not intended for indoor use.

U.S. Stock Item. Available in standard 24 in x 50 ft rolls with butt strips, 24 in x 100 ft rolls, 4 in x 50 ft butt strips and 4 in x 100 ft butt strips.
